my name’s karl and have been working as a photographer in dublin over the past year or so!
before that i was as an art director in the advertising industry for ten years and was responsible for many award-winning advertising campaigns. this gives me the advantage of having an intimate insight into the point of view of many of my clients because i think not just as a photographer but as an art director too.
the reason i changed from one side of the creative process to the other is simple: i’d been left disappointed by some of the photography i’d been commissioning and felt there was room for me to bring my ideas and vision so i decided to take the plunge and am now working as a photographer.
my client list includes advertising agencies, design studios, p.r. companies and direct clients in ireland and around europe.
